The first collaboration with Orezone at Bomboré was not only a geomembrane deployment contract, but also the process during which Yesti's West Africa operational infrastructure was established. In addition to the main cell of the tailings storage facility, the lining of the solution and process ponds within the same project scope required multi-front management of the on-site crew organization.

Pond lining systems and TSF lining systems have different performance expectations; wave- and evaporation-induced load dynamics are decisive in ponds, while static waste load and chemical contact duration are decisive in TSFs. In this project, separate welding parameters, separate QA/QC forms, and separate acceptance criteria were applied for both structures; especially in the pond perimeter anchor trenches, backfill compaction values were additionally tested.

The first phase delivery formed the commercial and technical reference enabling the opening of the subsequent two phases. The experience gained in site logistics, customs processes, and local workforce integration is actively utilized today in our other gold mining projects in the region.
