We build sustainable and eco-friendly solutions…

A composite liner approach was adopted at the waste storage facility built in the south of Marmara, at a site where seismic activity is directly reflected in design calculations. The GCL placed on the mineral barrier at the base achieved a low permeability value following hydration, forming the secondary containment layer beneath the geomembrane.
The HDPE geomembrane panels laid over it were cut in accordance with the geometry of the storage basin to keep seam lines to a minimum; panel placement on sloping slopes was planned from top to bottom, parallel to the main flow direction. The composite drainage system placed over the geomembrane served both as a protection layer and ensured the controlled discharge of pore water pressure.
Executed single-handedly from supply to site installation, the project was delivered with the traceability of material certificates for each batch and the compilation of QA/QC dossiers in accordance with international standards. Working window planning under Çanakkale's variable weather conditions was one of the critical elements preserving installation efficiency.
