Surface erosion protection with natural fibers

BonTerra Coir Erosion Control Blanket is a surface protection solution developed for erosion control and revegetation applications with its infill consisting of 100% natural coir fibers. The fibers are held together by a biodegradable polypropylene mesh and threads; the blanket conforms to the soil surface shape and reduces soil loss caused by rain, wind, and surface water runoff. The water-holding capacity of the fibers creates a favorable microenvironment for seed germination and plant roots to anchor to the soil.

Longitudinal tensile strength of 3.14 kN/m and transverse tensile strength of 1.38 kN/m, elongation at break of 31% / 23%

Coir fibers form a three-dimensional surface blanket with a photobiodegradable PP netting and yarn system; fully conforming to the soil surface, it slows down surface water runoff, holds seeds in place, and supports rooting.
