Unlike a conventional liner installation job, the Tepeova project was structured with an integrated delivery model where supply and installation were carried out from a single source. While the employer coordinated the site as the main contractor, the seamless progression of the geomembrane and drainage geocomposite supply chain and installation discipline without mutual delays was decisive for maintaining the schedule.

Waste and process water generated in copper mining subject the liner system to a different chemical load compared to gold mining due to their sulfuric nature. The HDPE geomembrane thickness and drainage geocomposite transmissivity values preferred in this project were selected by taking long-term chemical resistance and leak collection efficiency into consideration. The drainage layer was positioned to minimize the water head at the interface of the double liner composition on the cell floor.

The precipitation regime in the Havran basin of Balıkesir required additional precautions regarding subgrade moisture control, especially during spring installations; the installation schedule was rearranged according to weekly meteorological data to ensure that welding quality was not affected by rain interruptions.
